Our Story: The Heart of Stonewall828

Stonewall828 wasn't born in a boardroom; it was born on a steep trail, in the quiet of a misty morning, and in the sound of hounds echoing through a mountain holler. It was born from a deep, unshakable love for the place we call home: the mountains of Western North Carolina.

We're a husband and wife team, and in many ways, we're two sides of the same Appalachian coin. Both of us find peace in the quiet moments—the stillness of the forest, the way the light hits a waterfall, the small details you only notice when you slow down. We also find purpose in the song of a blue tick hound on an autumn night. 

Our story started with the hounds. It was a way of life that taught us about heritage, resilience, and a deep respect for the land. But we quickly realized that the Appalachian spirit is bigger than any single activity. It's in the heart of the hiker pushing for the summit, the family casting a line in the Tuckasegee, the couple cruising the Parkway just to watch the sunset, and the neighbor tending to their garden. 

It's a spirit of quiet strength, deep roots, and an unspoken understanding that life is just better here, surrounded by these ancient mountains.

That's why we created Stonewall828. We wanted to make quality goods that felt as timeless and durable as the land that inspires them. Every design, every color, every product is a tribute to this place and the people who cherish it.
